My Story
I’m Mido Said — business owner, truth-teller, and founder of the Business Owner Venting Machine.
But before all this… there was the day I woke up and didn’t know my own name.

The Day Everything Changed
2010 August 31st, little over a month after my birthday.

I opened my eyes to bright hospital lights and strangers’ voices asking,
“Do you know where you are? What’s your name? What day is it?”
The last thing I remembered was July 25, getting ready for work.
Now it was August 31.
I had been gone for over 37 days.
A car accident had crushed me, literally.
The driver who hit me ran. No call to 911. I sat in my mangled car for 3 hours, unconscious and bleeding, before someone noticed.
Rescue crews had to cut the car in half to get me out.
My lungs collapsed three times. I survived breathing on just 20%. I “died” and came back — three times.
I had 8 broken bones, a crushed femur in 17 different spots, brain trauma in the memory center, and doctors who told me I might never walk again.
I had to relearn how to walk like a toddler.
For a year, I couldn’t shower, turn in bed, or even go to the bathroom without help.
Losing It All
While I lay in bed, my business unraveled.
Bad reviews piled up. Customers left. Income vanished.
Before the accident, I thought I was “successful” because sales were growing.
But the truth?
I was a prisoner, working 14-hour days, 7 days a week, with no life, no freedom, no peace.
When my body stopped, my business collapsed.
And I realized: I didn’t own my business.
It owned me.
The Search for a Way Out
When I recovered enough to get moving again, I went all-in on learning.
I bought every course, attended every seminar, devoured YouTube videos from every “guru” out there.
I learned how to make more money, generate more leads, scale more sales.
I even started teaching other business owners how to do it.
But here’s what no one told me:
-
More sales don’t fix burnout.
-
More revenue doesn’t equal more freedom.
I opened more locations. Built multiple streams of income.
But I was still trapped.
Still stressed.
Still losing my hair — literally.
I thought I built my own freedom but what I built is a well decorative cage.
The Real Lesson
It’s not about how much you sell.
It’s about whether your business serves your life or consumes it.
Today, my mission is simple:
Help business owners grow without losing their sanity.

I share the frameworks, systems, and hard-earned truths I wish someone had given me before I lost everything so you don’t have to go through the same.
The Movement
I created a private Facebook group, The Business Owner Venting Machine, where entrepreneurs can speak freely, share struggles, and get real solutions — without judgment and without the fake “hustle” noise.
You don’t have to do this alone.
You don’t have to pretend you’ve got it all figured out.
You just need a place where the truth is spoken.
That’s what I’m building.
Bonus Facts About Me:
-
I made my first profit flipping candy to my siblings in the summer.
-
My best ideas come at 3am, in the shower, or yes… on the toilet.
-
I’ve walked through fire so I can tell you where it burns.
And no… I still don’t know how to write a resume. 😂
